Default GW Map Making Tool

Not asking A.net to release their map making tool(s), but am curious to know how it look. Can Miss Gray hook us up with some screenshots of it?

I'd be curious to see that as well. May be the CE edition of GW:N will unveil some secrets...

I'd like to see, too.
I also want to use it, but custom-created content wouldn't really work with how GW's set up...

i wish i would have kept toying around with map making programs. i used to play doom1 and doom2, which there were editors released and books on map making. i made several rooms, small maps back then for fun when i was younger. then when Unreal Tournament came out i made several maps and remakes also for fun. I should have made a career out of it. it would be interesting to see how they peice together the awesome arcitechture in the guild wars world, place enemies, etc. but then it would open the secret of drops and what items drop from which enemy. as if it were like other programs that lets you set those properties, unless it is hard coded into the npcs as to which items they drop and you will only have to place the enemy at a location with the speciffics already set unknown to the user/map maker.

The structure of the maps and skins seems quite similar to the way the Warcraft III World Editor worked Mayhaps Jeff Strain snuck that editor over along with him when he left Blizzard.

Then again, a lot of games use the reliable rhombus style geometry for their terrain.

OMG! are there multiple Ruriks? Undead Rurik, Rurik,(...), Rurik! I already feel sorry for the other residents of Baytown...

Really... he is definately an example of a person that should be prohibited to procreate or clone.

Durring the Nightfall release party last night, they showed the "Making of" video that is included with the CE version of the game. In it, you get several shots of the editor and a few people talking about how it works.

Compaired to many of the other design tools that I use it looks very well thought out and powerful. So be sure to check out that video once it is released.
